My Lifestyle Changes For The New Year

Now that it has officially become 2018 I feel the need to make some changes in my life. Not just New Year resolution’s, but life long changes. Lifestyle changes to be exact. Resolutions never usually last more than a month after the first of January, at least for me they don’t, so this year I will start a new beginning for my life. These are my new lifestyle changes and I hope they inspire you to make some of your own:

  1. Change my eating habits

I’m a vegetarian and one thing I have trouble with is keeping a balanced diet.  I feel as though I lack the majority of nutrients needed to keep me healthy. It’s not because I’m a vegetarian, but because I still live at home. It’s difficult to keep a balanced diet as a vegetarian when you’re the only one in your family who doesn’t eat meat. Now is my time to take control of my health. To buy my own food (and hide it ahaha) and learn to cook it!

2. Focus more on quality than quantity

I have a bad addiction…it’s called Asos. If you’re familiar with Asos than you understand my problem. It’s so easy to buy so many clothes at once. However, I’ve been focusing so much on buying a lot of clothes in order to have a lot of “looks,” I’ve lacked to spend my money on clothing that has a better quality. Instead of buying five pieces of clothing, I buy one piece of clothing for the same price, but better quality. Not only will it last longer, but it looks better too.

3.  Cancel people

I don’t care how long I’ve known you or how close we are, if I feel as though you are doing harm for my soul, I will “cancel” you as my father likes to say in his broken English haha. It’s that simple. No more games.

4. One good deed a day

I’ve always wanted to implement this in my daily life, but I always forget. I will now make the effort to recognize when I can make someone else’s day a little bit easier. If everyone did one good deed a day for someone else, a good deed will come back to you.

These are my lifestyle changes for the new year! If you enjoyed this post, subscribe to be one of the first to read my next one! Xoxo
